Glass etching processing

Glass etching processing

This is an introduction to Photo Precision Co., Ltd., which contributes to prototyping and development in various fields, including microelectronics and optical products, with photofabrication as a core technology. The technology involves etching the surface of glass with chemicals such as hydrofluoric acid to create grooves and engravings. ■□■ Features ■□■ ■ Quartz and borosilicate glass such as BK7 are used as substrate materials. ■ Metal thin films patterned by photolithography are used as masks, allowing for high-precision pattern formation. ■ Dimensional control in the depth direction is also possible. ■ Since the etching is done with chemicals, the surface finishes relatively smoothly. ■ For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

Precision glass etching processing

Processing accuracy with a minimum depth of 0.1μm. We have experience in processing various types of glass, including groove processing, coloring, and deposition patterns.

We perform fine groove processing on glass through wet etching, forming high-precision patterns. Our glass intaglio, which serves as the original plate for pad printing, as well as reticles and, more recently, microchannels and optical sensor components, are adopted for various applications. Our strength lies in our ability to process various materials in glass and to provide groove processing with depths of over 10μ at relatively low costs using our unique know-how. We excel in high-precision wet etching at the micrometer level. Additionally, we possess deposition equipment, allowing us to perform pattern etching of metals deposited on glass. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.*
